š§ Will AI Replace You?
Hey there,
Welcome back to the 66th edition of Brandish,
Your guide to crafting an iconic brand.
I get these questions all the time:
Will AI replace me?
Is AI going to take my job??
Is AI taking over the world???
And I get it ā the headlines are everywhere, and itās easy to think that way.
But here's the truthā¦
AI isnāt here to replace you; it's here to amplify what you do best.
In todayās newsletter, weāre diving into how to harness AI without losing your unique style.
Iāll walk you through some common AI mistakes, how it simplifies my day, and my personal AI toolkit.
So kick back,
Grab a Brez,
So, letās get into it.
Why AI wonāt replace you.
AI can be a huge asset if you use it as a complement to your skills rather than a replacement.
Instead of fearing a takeover, think of AI as an assistant that handles all the boring stuff so you can focus on creativity and strategy.
Take design software, for example.
Tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator now have built-in AI features that can speed up tedious tasks.
All the hours I used to spend cutting objects out of backgrounds?
Now, I just click āremove background,ā and it's done in seconds.
This doesnāt mean I donāt use my design skills; it just means I have more time to refine details and work on the parts of my job that truly require human creativity.
So, no ā AI wonāt replace you, but it will make your work more efficient and focused.
Common Mistakes People Make with AI
Letās be real ā one of the biggest missteps I see is when people let AI do all the work.
Whether itās creating images, copy, or even videos, too many people are quick to take what the AI produces and call it a day.
Hereās where that backfiresā¦
AI-generated content is a great starting point, but itās still not you.
When I use tools like Midjourney, I donāt just type in a prompt and hit copy ānā paste on whatever it spits out.
I use it to spark ideas, to concept illustrations, and to help me envision the direction.
Once Iāve got the base, Iāll refine it in Photoshop or add my own elements so that it actually reflects my style and purpose.
Same goes for copy ā you can get AI to generate a product description or ad copy, but it's not a finished product.
You still need to add your voice, make it relevant, and sometimes adjust for compliance, especially in industries like supplements where language is everything.
In short: treat AI as a starting point, but always add the human touch.
How AI Makes My Day Easier
There are some tasks that used to take hours that I can now breeze through with AI.
Writing copy used to mean hours of research on product ingredients, crafting detailed product descriptions, and training materials.
Now, I can upload something as simple as a supplement panel to an AI and ask, āWhat does garcinia do in relation to weight loss?ā
Itās not going to write the final copy, but it gives me solid starting points that I can refine.
AI also helps me with managing time on tasks that donāt come naturally to me.
For example, Iām not a big writer (despite my awesome newsletters), so having an AI to give me draft ideas for product pages or a framework for compliance-safe language has been a huge time-saver.
But again, I donāt just take it and use it as is ā I refine, adjust, and make sure the final product aligns with our brand voice.
Bottom line: AI has freed up time and energy for the parts of my job that do require my attention and creativity.
Alright, just because you stayed till the end.
I want to give you a glimpse into my AI toolkitāthe tools I rely on to streamline my work and boost my creative process:
But before we dive into my go-to AI tools, letās take a quick detour into another powerful tool that's been a game changer for Obviā¦
Tool of the Week
If youāre caught up with my newsletters.
You probably hear me talk about Aftersell a ton (and for good reason).
Usually the spiel goes something along the lines ofā¦
Weāve increased our AOV by over 15% without having to lift a finger
Itās like having a money printer
Setup takes minutes
All of these things are true butā¦
Letās address the big question every brand has when it comes to post-purchase offersā¦
Do these really make a difference without annoying our customers?
Easily, and we have the numbers to back it up.
Like many of you might be right now, we were extremely cautious when we first started with Aftersell.
āSure, incremental revenue sounds great, but not at the cost of our customer experience.ā
I hear this from a lot of brands who are still on the edge about network offers.
And this would totally be a valid thing to ask, except theyāre forgetting that Aftersell isnāt the typical upsell platform.
Their machine learning based on millions of transactions to guarantee every offer fits seamlessly with what our customers are already into.
Hereās what won us over:
ā Up to 20% engagement on their tailored post-purchase offersācompared to the single-digit rates of traditional ad placements.
ā Zero extra cost to you.
ā Five-figure lift in incremental revenue each month.
Just one month in, we saw an additional $0.50 per transaction in pure profit, which adds up fast.
We were skeptical, but now we get it.
Aftersellās platform truly lets you tap into an overlooked revenue stream without sacrificing brand trust.
Itās simple, itās proven, but most of allā¦
Itās designed to make your business more profitable without the added effort.

My AI Arsenal
š¦¾ Midjourney
Perfect for concepting illustrations.
Iām not into freestyle illustrating, so this gets me about 50% of the way there.
From there, I bring it into Photoshop to make it my own.
š¦¾ Vance.AI
This is my go-to for batch editing.
Whether Iām handling a series of photos or just need consistent quality across assets, Vance helps maintain a polished aesthetic without hours of manual tweaks.
š¦¾ Runway.ML
Video editing isnāt my favorite, but Runway has this feature that turns images into videos ā a fantastic shortcut for creating dynamic ads without diving into intensive editing.
š¦¾ Lumen5
If youāre more of a writer, Lumen5 transforms blogs or ideas into video content.
Itās like having a quick content converter at your fingertips, which is helpful when you want to repurpose written content into video.
š¦¾ Khroma.co
This is a bit simpler but so useful. Khroma ālearnsā the color palettes I like and helps me generate new ones that stay on brand.
Itās ideal for maintaining color consistency across projects.
These tools have been game-changers for me, allowing me to turn around quality work faster and with more ease.
Wrapping Up
AI isnāt here to be feared; itās here to help.
Use it to take on repetitive tasks, but donāt let it replace the unique touches you bring to your work.
Thereās a reason people look to humans for creativity, insight, and connection, and AI can only enhance, not replace, those elements.
Whether youāre new to the world of AI tools or already experimenting with them, I hope this gives you a clearer view of how to make the most out of them.
Keep testing, keep refining, and remember ā AI is here to support, not to replace.
Until next time,
Ankit
